Just a quick update, as I don’t have time for much else.
I’m incredibly stressed and under pressure.
I’m still working on cosplay for Youmacon on Saturday, and though it’s going well, I’m still feeling the crunch to get two costumes finished. I’ve been stuck in my workshop all week, inhaling far too many solvents, but I hope to finish on time.
I’m not at all prepared for the start of NaNo at midnight, but I think I should be able to fake it ‘till I make it. I’ve got quite a bit of the outline done for my novel idea, and that should carry me quite far, though I don’t have any idea for an ending yet. I’m hoping to beat last year’s record of 50,000 words in 22 days, and though I do have a week off of work next week to pound out as many words as I can, I’m not sure at this point if I can reach that goal. I am pretty confident that I can finish NaNo proper, however.
While I am excited for both Youmacon and NaNo, I have to admit I’m feeling the pressure. I’m sure I’ll be fine after Saturday is over, and I can just concentrate on writing, but the next couple of days are going to be very stressful.
Plus, with everything else going on this week, I haven’t been able to participate in any Halloween-y type stuff, which is a shame as it’s a season I really enjoy.
I’m scaling back my posts for this NaNo attempt so that I won’t bug you all as much as I did last year. I figure I’ve already proven I can do this, so there’s no point in fretting about it as much as I did the last time. Still, if you see/read my posts, consider giving me an encouraging “Like” if you want. It will help keep me going for the next month.
Thanks for all of your support, and Happy Halloween.
