Maintaining Momentum – November 15, 2018

Had a really good day today… we had plans to meet some friends for dinner… it’s a group of friends we get together with every month, and I usually take the night off so I won’t be rushed to get to work and can hang out for the entire night. We had a great time connecting with our friends, which was worth burning a sick day for.

Since I didn’t have to go into work tonight I got up a bit earlier than usual, and did a bit of work in my woodshop.

I didn’t want to lose the momentum I had built up with my writing though, so when I got home from work this morning, I ground out 1000+ words before I went to bed. I managed to push that up beyond 2000 after I got up, in-between sessions in my shop, before we had to get ready to go out.

When we got home, since the day wasn’t over just yet, I pushed through to pass the 35,000 word threshold this evening, which I’m kind of proud of.

Today marks the half-way point of NaNoWriMo, which means that by now I should have hit the 25,000 word mark. Being 10,000 words beyond that already is a really good feeling.

Total Words Today – 2275
Novel Word Count – 35,025
